Simeon sighed softly, still smiling.

"I know it isn't easy for you to stop worrying... I honestly don't quite understand why I'm so nervous myself, I guess it's simply due to how this has been moving.."

He slid his hands to hold Barbatos's. Taking a deep breath, he began to speak.

"I understand that we haven't been together long.. Relative to our lifespans and the lives we've already lead, this is a commitment I do want to last. That is why.. I want to ask you this.

I do not need any wedding or documents to allow me to love you for the rest of my life. I never have and I doubt I ever will. But that is to say that I am suggesting.. a proposal of sorts. Not quite in the traditional sence.."

He ran his thumb over the top of Barbatos's hand.

"I propose that we officially state that we will be together.. forever.. I know that is quite a long time, but I love you and this is truly what I want. I understand if you'd like to wait to make that promise, but just know that I'm yours."

Simeon's smile softened as he let out a nervous chuckle.

"I mean, we've fought this far, it'd be a shame to ever give up on this."

I apologize for my worry Simeon... I do try not to when it is not necessary.. I have simply been on edge recently..

*He gives his hand a small squeeze, then waits for him to finish talking. He was shocked to say the least and it was clear to simeon, but a small smile formed on his face as he nodded a bit. It took him a moment to fully take in what this meant and to respond*

I... I would be honored simeon... I would love to. I believe forever with you is still not long enough for me... but that is simply my greed talking I suppose.

I love you Simeon, and that will never change. So I will gladly promise to be with you for the rest of my internal life... We may not be able to have any traditional union... but nothing about are relationship is traditional.

*he gives Simeon a small kiss, before hugging him tightly. He was attempting to hide his excitement over this, part of him still surprised that simeon loves him enough to spend the rest of his life with him*
