The NES didn’t have exactly the most sophisticated sound processors. So needless to say the developers didn’t have much to work with when developing a soundtrack for old NES games.
Masterpieces have been made on less though; and we will get to those later. In the mean time, here’s some Batman. I Included the original, and also a remix by Axi0n. It’s a pretty good mix that follows close to the original. It gets a lot better after about a minute, so stick with it.
I remember playing this game with a buddy, and instead of trying to beat the game, we just aimed for beating the sewer level. This game was so hard that we didn’t even want to beat it, just get past the sewer level. I always loved playing the first level mostly because of this level; so it was worth starting over just for this.
Finished up the work on the battery replacement and reprogramming the sysex data.
Sounds great. Will post a video. Reflowed the ancient solder and mixed with some fresh flux and silver.
To recap: The point of this was to make sure the program data can be stored without it being constantly plugged into the wall. Pretty simple.
