Long Distance
New York was daunting, scary, terrifying, and for the first few months, the blond felt incredibly home sick. He missed Axel, so much that most nights he cried. What he wouldn't do to have the red head beside him in bed, to cuddle up to him, to tell him how much he loved him again. He'd give anything to have all that. The job was going just as expected, it was everything Roxas could've dreamed of -- and more. He'd made so many friends at his workplace, not to mention, shared his ideas with the CEO's for his book, which they instantly picked up and wanted to rush straight through to marketing. Lucky for him, his best friend was his boss. Though his boss was gay also, he knew his boundaries, and he knew Roxas was taken. Though, maybe it was just because Roxas wanted some attention, or maybe he was imagining it, but the way his boss would ask about Axel, was as if he was waiting for something bad to happen between them.
Of course, Roxas wouldn't tell Axel this small fact or even the sexuality of his best friend. It already hurt being apart from the red head, he didn't want to give him anymore reason as to why he should leave him. Not that anything was going wrong, but the distance was beginning to take it's toll on him and everything else. He could feel himself slipping behind at work, he had deadlines to meet and all he could think about was Axel surprising him and wrapping his arms around him, telling him how much he loved him. He made a mental note to ask the red head if he'd read the script he gave him, he needed final notes for his evaluation to edit before the book was officially published.
His apartment was nice, and he quickly settled in. It was homely and unlike home, he felt he could make it more about himself, have things how he wanted it. The puppy had grown a fair bit bigger, Lucky was indeed playful and reminded him much of Axel, especially when he jumped on the bed to lie with him at night. He liked that. He really wanted Axel with him, however.
The evening was the same as most others, starting up a Skype video call with Axel again, the usual. He would finish work almost the same time as Axel, and they'd both log on at half 6 exactly to speak. It was only very rare when they didn't exchange chat and many other intimate moments together through that form of communication. The blond had started teasing Axel about how he longed for Axel, how hard it was being a part from him, and soon, one thing led to another and the writer found himself fully erect for his boyfriend. He smirked and blushed over the camera, but the way his boyfriend spoke to him would always elicit such a reaction.
