tagged by the word crunching queen, @aavillainess. thank you thank you
1. how many works in progress do you currently have?
about .... four. roughly. i get tons of ideas and scribble them down but like i only have about four that are currently in progress. empire of souls, animal skins, god in the wires ( who lets me name shit ), and a co-writing project that so under wraps that i’m gunna get yelled at for mentioning it. ( fite me )
2. do you/would you write fanfiction?
i did, way back in the good ole days. i’ve taken most of it down because i’m just —idk, can’t stick with it. i just wanna write about my own gay kids.
3. do you prefer paper books or ebooks?
highkey, it really depends on the book lmao. i can read a book and just tell if it’ll be better as an actual book or in ebook format, same with audio books.
4. when did you start writing?
like really writing, really being serious about it? seventh grade. i mean, i’ve been writing and telling stories and making shit up since i was a wee lad but never took it seriously until like my teacher told me i could do something with it.
5. do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?
no one gets to know. it’s all a secret until i say so. mostly because i don’t feel like it’s ready. rip. ( but should i have something, yeah, i have a few people who volunteered their souls to me. )
6. where is your favourite place to write?
in my office because thats where the computer is. i get good light & i see the river from here. it’s nice.
7. favorite childhood book?
ella enchanted but also the babysitters club? those were my girls ...
8. writing for fun or publication?
the answer is yes. i write because i love writing. i love it so much, it just makes me so happy when i see that word count go up, when i get to finally write the scene in my head, when they get to finally be themselves and ugh. it’s my favorite, favorite thing. but also like, i wanna share my favorite thing with the world. so, both.
9. pen and paper or computer?
computer, pen & paper is too slow for me.
10. have you ever taken any writing classes?
nah, aside from like what they’re required to teach you in english class and i did a lot of that on my own because lmao this schooling system is a joke. other than that, this is all self taught.
11. what inspires you to write?
no one else can tell the story i want to read. i’ve tried! i’ve looked! no one is telling the story that i want to read! so, i gotta do it myself. also, i get a lot of ‘’’if they had done this with the story, it’d be a lot better’’ and then that’ll spin of into my own story. ( this is how animal skins happened. ) or just ideas i’ve had and wanted to work on. the biggest thing is like: i have to write & i’m going to write something i like.

"I had the best breakfast this morning, have you been to that breakfast taco place on fifth?” He will rave about it to anyone who will listen - suffice to say he was in a particularly good mood. Xander had actually managed to get some sleep.
