BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ROCKS LAPOINTE S/S11 AT INTERNATIONAL CONSTUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

Lady Gaga traveled to Las Vegas to, as a part of the 2011 Customer Electronics Show, personally present the results of her first project as a Creative Director of Polaroid on January 6th.

Styling by Nicola Formichetti, respectively.

Gaga wore the body conscious floor-length long-sleeved plunging neckline dress with hip pads from LAPOINTE’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection, “a mix of beauty and distortion” inspired by “the intoxication of accepting madness”.

This is the second collection Sally designed but actually her debut runway presentation.

The singer’s choice of eyewear were Chanel’s 02464 shades in black which she matched to her veil.

She also donned a waspie with golden hooks and side lacing. Unfortunately, the label remains unknown.

A pair of black vinyl Flamingo-1020 lace-up platform ankle boots by her go-to exotic footwear label Pleaser completed the look.

The amazing nude nails with black half circles are made for our girl by nail artist Aya Fukuda.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA PERFORMS ON GMA

Lady Gaga took over Good Morning America’s stage at Central Park on May 27, 2011 to perform a bunch of songs from her album ‘Born This Way’.

This unique performance was fully styled by Nicola Formichetti and Brandon Maxwell. Set design by Marla Weinhoff. Choreography by Laurie-Ann Gibson. Hair by Frederic Aspiras and makeup by Tara Savelo, respectively.

For the rehearsals with her dancers and crew, our girl wore a black bra, black tights and her bespoke Atsuko Kudo leopard-printed latex blazer.

These wonders are vintage Italy-made Vogart by Police 2141 sunglasses with tortoiseshell frame, gold-tone nose bridge and green tinted sunglasses.

Gaga revealed that the golden plate necklace is her aunt Joanne’s birth certificate! So definitely a family heirloom.

She completed her look with Penthouse Savannah lace-up corset vinyl boots.

The performance started with Gaga flying over the crowd towards the stage. Her outfit was designed and created by Perry Meek.

It comprised a leather and chiffon paneled cloak with conical, long shoulders, a white puffy bolero jacket with pleated sleeves and red lining, a red mesh catsuit with black velvet animal appliqués and matching oriental chiffon headwrap.

The stunning silver crystal cross choker plus her bracelets are all unsigned costume jewelry pieces Nicola found for our girl.

Tom Tom Fashions is behind customizing her Pleaser black vinyl ankle boots with hundreds of gold-tone studs with a cross ornament, our girl wears throughout the show.

Quick costume change! Do you remember Gaga’s Armani Privé VMA night leather look? Of course you do! But what most probably not all of you know is there were two looks Mr. Armani designed for Gaga.

The other one was “black vinyl pantsuit featuring a jacket with spike details, a vest outlined with zippers, and a shirt with a large bow and wide balloon sleeves”. The spike jacket belongs to the above custom-made suit.

Her delicate black lace veil is a stunning Oscar de la Renta piece. The same bow pattern was used on several pieces on his Spring/Summer 2010 runway.

The lace extravaganza continues with her Zumanity mask, exclusively made for Cirque du Soleil by artisan Judith Rauchfuss, who was inspired by Thierry Mugler’s designs for the show.

Haus of Gaga’s in-house costume designer Perry Meek collaborated with Tom Tom Fashions to customize Gaga’s black Mugler Fall/Winter 2011 “Anatomy of Change” sheer mesh cheetah appliqué catsuit with hundreds of crystals and golden coins.

Her cool black fringed denim jacket, embellished with gold-tone studs and gems in various colors, is a vintage 1980s Cross Walk L.A. piece with the sleeves cut off.

Her Marlies Dekkers harness bra was customized by L.A. Roxx with gold studs, embellishments and draped chains and charms.

Now about her two golden items.

The lady behind Gaga’s pyramid studded metallic gold leather biker jacket is Kerin Rose Gold who, as you know, has her own label a-morir. The jacket, with its leopard silk lining, was originally designed by JerMajesty and L.A. Roxx, which Kerin further customizer with studs and dainty gold chains hanging off the shoulders.

Next, the horns. These babies were custom crafted for Gaga by NYC-based costume designer Sam Bennett.

Sam made them from a viking helmet that he bought at a costume store, took apart and affixed the horns to a headband. Elongated them and added to the shape of the horns with boning that he curved up and out.

The whole armature is wrapped in a very thin cotton rope to smooth out the shape. Painted gold, studded and embellished with chains in several gold tones.

Gaga’s epic black stiletto nails with pyramid-shaped studs and red gemstones are Aya Fukuda’s work.

Finally, the dancer outfits. Both the Stardom and Restrain harnesses were custom-made by Assaad Awad and were used for several performances throughout the era. 

Their distressed costumes are bespoke Ayumi Shibata for SLOW, inspired by their vintage collection.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA FILMS HBO SPECIAL IN CUSTOM TOM TOM FASHIONS & A-MORIR GLOVES

Remember Gaga’s big first HBO TV special? The singer granted us a special private view into the making of her album “Born This Way” while we accompanied her to her first sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on February 21, 2011.

The heavily customized oversized leather biker jacket with cracked vintage effect, gold-tone studs and “Born This Way” unicorn artwork on the back, that Gaga flaunted down the streets of Manhattan, is a custom piece made for her by Tom Tom Fashions.

The singer’s choice of eyewear were  Chanel’s 02464 shades in black.

These eye-mazing black fingerless driving gloves, which are embellished with large spikes, studs and crystals, are bespoke a-morir.

Gaga’s bandana has no label since you can read the “100% cotton Made in China” writing on hers pretty well. You can get this kind of paisley bandana everywhere, starting from Amazon or Ebay.

Custom black leather Unicorn heelless platform ankle boots by Noritaka Tatehana completed the look.

Gaga’s incredible looong stiletto nails in black with red accents, embellished with pyramid studs, are by none other than Aya Fukuda.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ON THE GAYLE KING SHOW

Lady Gaga made a special appearance on The Gayle King Show for an interview about her single + album ‘Born This Way’ on February 24, 2011. 

She was styled by Nicola Formichetti. Amaaazing hair-do by Frederic Aspiras. Prosthetic horns by Millennium FX.

The strapless black leather jumpsuit with frontal zipper is by Mugler, which I believe is an extension of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. It also reads “Thierry Mugler” on the zipper and features a sweetheart neckline. Also loved by Nicole Scherzinger and Tyra Banks!

The fashionista also rocked a pair of vintage Chanel 02464 shades in black. These have the iconic double C logo on each side.

The large pyramid stud and fringe-embellished black leather driving gloves are by Gaspar.

The two finger snake ring in yellow gold with diamonds is from Nicol’s in Madrid, from their most emblematic Safari collection.

A custom 14cm version of Underground’s Barfly leather lace-up creepers were worn during the interview.

When leaving the studio, Gaga was seen protecting herself from the cold with an eye-catching fur vest thrown over her leather jumpsuit. The striking orange beauty is a custom Adrienne Landau by Saulo Villela piece.

She also wore custom metallic blue Armani Privé platform boots.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ROCKS CHRISTIAN LACROIX

Before changing into her wild Viktor & Rolf leather ensemble, Lady Gaga was seen arriving to the Late Show with David Letterman in a whole different look back in May 2011.

The meticulously handmade thousands of beads and sequins hand embroidered mesmerizing jumpsuit with candy-colored rouleau tube neck ruffles and one-sided tulle skirt belongs to one of the strongest collections designed by Christian Lacroix, his Fall/Winter 2001 Haute Couture collection, inspired, among others, by Franco-Spanish traditions of his native Arles. 

Her black embroidered lace mantilla with scalloped trim belongs to the same collection.

Another rare Christian Lacroix piece is this black and gold lucite cross chain necklace that she wrapped around her pony tail. She found it at Resurrection Vintage.

Gaga was photographed also wearing the vintage cat-eye shaped frames with gold and black trim by Charme, model 7089. She got them from Vintage Frames Company.

The Italian-American fashionista also wore two different bangles. One of them is the golden Atlas bangle by Tiffany & Co., featuring Roman numerals all around.

Inspired by vintage Art Deco elements, Gaga’s Paloma gold bracelet with precious stones is made by Spanish jewelry heritage brand Nicol’s.

The chunky anklet, which is actually a bracelet, is a vintage Versace piece that was gifted to her by a Japanese fan (similar version pictured).

Black alien-inspired pumps from Mugler’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection provided the finishing touches.

Finally, Gaga’s long red stiletto nails embellished with red gemstones and gold-tone studs are made by Aya Fukuda.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ROCKS HAIDER ACKERMANN SPRING/SUMMER 2011 FOR “INSIDE THE OUTSIDE”

On May 3, 2011 Lady Gaga held an intimate interview with “Inside the Outside” where she talked about her early life, her family and the start of her career.

Gaga donned one of the Oregon black leather unisex vests with ribbed lapels from Haider Ackermann’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. 

Remember when she wore two other pieces from that very same collection for her first Vogue cover? Allow me to freshen up your memory.

While her draped chain crystal flower necklace is courtesy of Erickson Beamon...

...the fingerless mini leather gloves are created by world-renowed costume designer Patricia Field.

All three of her faceted crystal and silver rings are signed by Kenneth Jay Lane, including this clear Headlight ring.

She completed her look with Penthouse Savannah lace-up corset vinyl boots.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA FOR GOOGLE CHROME

Lady Gaga partnered with Google for a commercial for the Chrome web browser that aired on Sunday night (May 22, 2011) during the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Here are the details to what she wore!

In the first scene we can see Gaga on a run over the Brooklyn bridge, wearing a black hoodie and cut-off denim thongs. Her 50s black latex cup bra is by Atsuko Kudo that she paired with customized chain briefs by NYC SexTrash. 

The head behind the brand, Stephanie Paterek, was kind enough to send me above pictured exclusive photo which she took 7 years ago, moments before sending off the items to Gaga’s styling team.

In the commercial she wears two pairs of shades. The first ones are vintage foldable Porsche Design by Carrera 5693 70 shield sunnies. 

She got them at Vintage Frames Company and are still able to get for $999.99.

Gaga also revealed that the golden plate necklace is her aunt Joanne’s birth certificate! So definitely a family heirloom.

Fans speculated that this particular scene was a BTS look at the scrapped ‘The Edge of Glory’ music video directed by Joseph Khan. The singer is dripping in crystals. 

We’ve got the Rodrigo Otazu crystal-encrusted spiky necklace that she paired with Kenneth Jay Lane 1990s gunmetal and crystal cabochon hinged bib collar and gunmetal crystal scalloped lace bib necklace (worn as headpiece).

Her crystal breast plate and rings, including this oversized crystal one...

...and this Dangerous Liaisons crystal pyramid bracelet are all signed by Erickson Beamon.

Her other wrist carries this spectacular rhinestone swirly clamper cuff by Kenneth Jay Lane.

Next, Gaga writes online with her fans wearing her favorite Mugler Fall/Winter 2011 “Anatomy of Change” collection boned corset black velvet and mesh bodysuit with wavy straps.

Her sunglasses is a vintage Versace treasure. These are the mod. 402 910 sourced at Vintage Frames Company.

The gold dangling coin earrings with logo charm and crystal are vintage 80s Chanel.

She also wore a Giuseppe Zanotti sculptural Gothic-punk choker bustier necklace with draped chains and cascading six-bullet centerpiece. Black suede inserts glittering with micro Swarovski crystals.

Her belt is another vintage Versace piece featuring Medusa head-shaped gold hardware all around.

Even though Gaga’s black leather and lace gloves have no label or whatsoever, it is known that they’re made in Italy. She cut the finger tips off so her long nails by Aya Fukuda could fit through.

Finally, she danced around in another custom Stephanie Paterek for NYC SexTrash lingerie item. 

Heavily pyramid-studded bra with draped chain embellishment that she paired with opaque tights, a studded punk bracelet and some leather driving gloves.

The black tailored wool and viscose blend blazer with upper lapel made of calfskin leather belongs to Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2011 collection. We’ve seen her in the leather version before.
