Definitely drawing the Ayakakashi again for spooky season

interesting thing i noticed about silent hill f- the ayakakashi have no legs, only crude stilts. this symbolizes hinako's fear of marriage and abuse, like pretty much all the monsters in the game, but specifically the idea of being stripped of autonomy and reduced to something servile and completely reliant on others to live and function normally (in the ayakakashi's case, stilts, but in a bride's case, her new husband)

look. in this case, the ayakakashi has been rendered completely nonfunctional and the main thing that stands out about them are their leg stumps and birdlike, shabby feet. something someone else would have had to have given them, if this were a real logical world and not hinako's personal silent hill. ayakakashi are also the game's only pack enemies.

and it also reminds me of this line from the the song bruno is orange, a song about a lack of autonomy and being used
