So I found a wonderful Overwatch OC by the name of Shinjuko created by the amazingly talented @dashiana !! I loved their backstory and their relationship with the Shimada boys!! And I finally got time to actually painting her player icons :D Left: “Shinjuko” Right: “Ayame-Kai” Both are based on the Artist’s own design. I couldn’t think of a third one XD But if the artist has a third, I’ll gladly paint that one too :3 !!JUST TO BE CLEAR!! These aren’t my design but they are my painting :)

Kumiko- code name NOKOGI- is the right hand assassin to the syndicate leader of Ayame-Kai.

Seeing her potential, Shinjuko offered the young omnic a better body in exchange for loyalty. Since graciously accepting the offer, she has undergone countless transplants and alterations in the name of increasing her lethality.

What at first started as a contractual respect has blossomed into a complete trust in her mistresses decisions and abilities, even after being pushed out of Japan. Calm, quiet, and observant, most of her decisions rely upon Shinjuko’s. That said, coming to her own conclusions is not hard. Under her calm surface, a certain amount of amusement and mirth can be found in her derisive remarks to her prey.

I was extremely inspired by @dashiana ’s omnic OC Shinjuko to make one of my own. The idea of the Ayame-Kai syndicate is so tempting! With creating Kumiko, I wanted to focus on angles and sharp lines, but keep her slim to make her feel svelte and dangerous. Sillohete was also a concern, as well as making sure she wouldn’t overshadow Shinjuko as she stood next to her or nearby. She stands about 2 or 3 heads shorter than the syndicate leader. I also really wanted to play with the idea of an Omnic conciousness being transplanted into a different body. The original sketches were actually done on post-it notes, the digital art added on top was done on my phone with Autodesk Sketchbook Pro. Hope you like her!
