i get that people see and navigate the world differently, but seriously, cant some people contextualise lewis and his actions within his racialised identity? maybe its easy for me and other poc to see it (double conscioness and all that jazz), but come on, he is the only black driver on the grid and he is constantly treated much differently. clearly, you can see that, right????? like, come on.

honestly this is the part that gets to me like. poc on this website (in the context of lewis and f1 and even other things) are literally constantly explaining everything from the lens of people who have lived experience in all of this. we give examples, we compare and contrast, we bring the receipts, and in spite of it all every damn time there's someone refusing to get the point. maybe the reason they're defending the non-kneelers so hard is that they identify with them. that's the only reason i can think of bc just like those drivers, these people have had things explained to them many times and they still don't give a fuck.
