Aye Aye nose picking is entirely next level

Today while preparing for the nocturnal animal class I'm teaching later this month, I asked twitter what their favorite nocturnal animals were. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any!

Dear. Lord. What I learned.

There are many cool nocturnal animals out there, and I had already written about many of them, including this absolute weirdo, the Aye Aye.

What I did NOT know about the aye aye, however, was that they pick their noses... like... to an ENTIRELY more extreme level than I thought was probable in the animal kingdom.
