I met this lovely couple on one of my walks in Mariehamn. We had a pleasant chat about the weather, the quality of this year's grazing, and whether the local humans had finally learned to keep a respectful distance. Delightful company.

looking for animal references on image searches has always kind of sucked but it's much worse after AI image generation technology has begun to actually past muster, which is why i always just go straight to inaturalist. can't recommend this highly enough. you get to both find out about niche species you've never even heard of and also see some really good photographs like this one

Just wanted to note two things:

I have at least five times as many species in my files as online, so if there’s something you need and don’t see, you’re always welcome to ask. I can’t guarantee if he’ll have it or I can get it online quickly, but I will if I can.

Also, this site is just me! Totally a one-person, guaranteed AI free project.

I wish! They’re not common where I live and not usually a collection animal in our zoos.

I’m hoping once I can take donations someone from Europe might be able to help out with them.

The only thing I have is this single photo of a rescued pine marten who absolutely refused to get out of her warm comfy bed.
