So, literally some votes have now all been tallied …
… and our scrutineers have validated the ballots (i.e. thrown out the ones for acts we can’t stand) and now the countdown is on to the Plunger Unsung Blues Excellence Grand Presentation Ceremony later this year, to be held in the nearest available pub function room.
Obviously tight security exists around the results here at Plunger Towers, just like the Oscars: we want to ensure that the winners will come as a total surprise to everyone there on the night. (Well, at least as regards the ‘minor’ categories. So exactly like the Oscars, really). Nobody but the PUBEs committee knows who the lucky recipients will be when those envelopes are opened.
Therefore Plunger would ask you please not to attach ANY significance to the sudden flurry of far-flung nominees who are clicking ‘Going’ on the Ceremony’s Facebook event now that the votes have been counted, we’re quite certain that’s entirely coincidental…
