he finds himself at these hollywood hills house parties all too often — secluded by the hills and valleys of los angeles, recognizable faces scattered amongst the crowd of mostly unfamiliar people. they’re meant to be parties anyway, but he always feels like half the people in attendance treat it more like a networking event. as if that’s the first thing on his mind when he’s drinking — making connections. he’s pretty much lost everyone he actually knows by now, excusing himself from the young girl who was telling him her life story as an intern and making a beeline for the next room in search of someone he actually KNOWS, or more preferably, more alcohol. he pushes past a group of people in his efforts for more beer, almost not noticing the boy he brushed past until a familiar looking tattoo caught his attention. “oh,” he pauses, eyes trailing up his body and stopping once he met tyler’s gaze, “hey, i — uh, almost didn’t recognize you.” he could feel warmth against his cheeks, and he prayed it was from the alcohol and not tyler. though tall, handsome men usually had that affect on him. “are you enjoying...” he glanced around the room before looking back at tyler with a scrunched nose, “..all this ?”
