Is despair killing creativity, or can fighting for creativity free us from it?

I’ve been asking myself this question for a while, ever since I realized haven’t been wanting to watch movies anymore. Things have been boring as hell. Over-serious, grave. And not even grave in a good way, just. Hopeless, really. Very doom and gloom. Whatever happened to having fun? And whatever the hell happened to things feeling real? On the internet I see people talking about how there’s no time to have fun. The world is ending. Economy is about to collapse. War is at our doorstep. How can you think about fun in a time like this. If you do, then how dare you? They diagnose you as naive at best, alienated at worse.

okay so my drawing teacher approved my plan to draw furbies for my end of semester series. does anyone have a furby they’d be willing to let me draw? it’d be traditional, and i will not be publishing (except on my blog, provided the owner of drawn furby consents), or receiving payment for these drawings. i just wanna draw furbs for school!
