ever since i saw this image a couple of years ago i’ve wanted to draw something with it
today i fulfilled a lifelong dream
this is so silly why did i do this
in other news i havent done digital art in 10 billion years but i thought this wip looked kinda cool

i found my first-ever digital drawing the other day and thought, why not redraw this garbage? i had to make more changes than i expected, mostly because what the fuck was that anatomy and why did i try to color on top of the lineart in the first place (also why did i choose that horrendous background color what was i thiNKING)
it’s not nearly as good as i want to be tbh, especially the coloring. i think i have a lot of room to grow when it comes to color palettes and just better shading in general, as my current drawing just feels too soft and muted and i’m not very good yet at distinguishing different materials (ex. fabric vs hair vs skin).
that being said, though, it’s still crazy to think that it’s only been a little over 3 years since i drew the one on the left! it feels like it’s been a lot longer, what with all the changes that my art style (and life!) have been through since then, and with how many drawings i’ve done in between. but it’s nice to know that these years of hard work really paid off, and that in another 3 years i’ll probably find this post and be able to draw something 10x better than what i drew today.
