Like no yall don’t get the reason Dick Grayson is so so so great is the fact that he trusts people!! And gives them second chances??

When Tim asks Dick to trust him on Bruce during the Red Robin run!! He does!!

When Jason tells Dick “yo that murder that 100% could have been done by me and also 100% would have been me but wasn’t” Dick believes him and HELPS

He trusts that Damian will grow and believes in his innate goodness during is time as Batman and after

He trusts Cass’ judgment better than his own and will back her on request!

When HE creates ways to take down his teammates he doesn’t hide them until it bites them in the ass (cough Bruce cough) he literally distributes them amongst the team so that the responsibility isn’t solely on him and someone has his file!!!

And like yeah that trust causes him pain sometimes? (Liu, mirage, tarantula all come to mind here) and he still keeps coming back you will not burn this part out of him

That’s what makes him better than Bruce right! And is probably genuinely the most consistent aspect of his character since he put on the blue and gold

Like, it’s such a quintessential part of his character that every adaptation of him has it too. With Artemis in young justice and Terra + Raven in teen titans.

He’ll lend you a hand if you try to do better, that’s what nightwings for. What Batman should be rehabilitation over violence no matter the cost.
