I’ve been keeping this very very slight redesign/genderbend for soooo long, here are some scribbles (very rough!!!! as usual)
it’s basically zelda with a new hairstyle and a jacket instead of a top, you can see it that way, or as a prince zel(duh) or as a brother for her or as a young rhoam. (jk he’s tan and who knows if blonde) i made it in a way that felt a little more princelike (i was gonna change nothing but looking at rhoams design i did really like the idea of a short jacket instead of a top for the researcher fit) and i tried to implement everything zelda and her father already have but in different ways, the hairclips, the royal family simbol in the back of the head connecting his braids, keeping the braids! i couldn’t decide if putting the belt above the shirt or the back of the jacket but i went for the later
only thing that made me do this was that when i was 13 i really wanted gay zelda and link, also, idk how i feel about genderbends, i do think they’re fun to practice designing skills but tbh i never change much (as you can see) i do like the idea of reimagining characters that were intended for one gender and swap it and not make it too different or too normative (no shade but swapping really cool designs that female characters have for uh… a random tuxedo pisses me off)
anywho, this is prob the closest i’ll get to botw totk zelink if you can even call it that here, had a lot of fun making it! the implications of a male princess zelda are so so so interesting imo
