My favorite anime is Robotech. I know it was sliced up and rearranged but is is the first anime I had ever seen. I was a latch key kid and I would run home after school to try and catch the show. As I got older I bought several variations of the show, vhs, dvd, Blu-ray… today I decided to draw Azonia. A commander in the Zentraedi fleet. I have never drawn her before so I struggled with the posing and colors XD
😎😎 Robotech commission
Khyzonia commission for @nomadicism! My favourite Zentraedi babes. Azonia honey, when you ask him to pick you up & carry you “for the culture,” you have to be more specific.
Commission info!

The final piece for the winner of my art giveaway, @lotors-saltwife, who requested Khyron and Azonia from Robotech!
Too exhausted and busy to write meta or answer Asks right now. Really sorry everyone. Work plus outdoor yard things and house things are devouring me right now. Also, trying to track down the source of the image below:
Above: Art of Kamjin/Quamzin Kravshera and Laplamiz from Macross (Khyron and Azonia from Robotech) have a child and their child is playing with some people who might be Max and Miria (and their children) but might not be. Artist is Haruhiko Mikimoto.
I’ve seen it referenced in a few places , and it’s supposedly from Animage 1983 Vol...? (月刊アニメージュ 83年(多分)7月か8月号付録)
It’s really bizarre, and I recall something from the Macross 2036 PC Engine Duo game that Kamjin survived his and Laplamiz’s suicide attack on the SDF, and now this is driving me crazy because it’s not in any of my Macross artbooks, and I asked some fans who collect more heavily than I do (that’s not hard to do as Macross isn’t a priority for me) and they’ve never seen it either.
The two places (Japanese Macross fandom wiki and a fan blog) mention that in the original cut of the series, that Kamjin and Laplamiz would have survived. I recently saw something about this art used for an alt-ending novel, but I don’t know if that’s true.
I don’t have energy to explain more than that, but now I’m hunting for Animage magazines from 1983 (presumably the August edition?). When I first saw the art, the text was not with it, so I believe that art must appear in an art book, and the image above is from an advertisement in a magazine.
Maybe I can find the time/energy to try and translate the text in this image.
LOLSOB.
EDIT/UPDATE: I found the source of this illustration, bought it (old Animage), and translated it and it’s fun. Will post my translation eventually.
