@cestlestial-beings Here are some wincestiel fic recs.  Mostly Darkfic, only one underage.  I could probably rec more but I’m tired, lol.  As always, MIND THE TAGS.  Mostly bottom Sam, Top Dean, but a few where they switch.  I’m definitely forgetting some great fics but these are amazing.

So, this is weird...I’ve read other fics by All_the_damned_vampires, loved them to PIECES, and rec’d them here.  But I missed one, and I happened upon it randomly while looking for j2 fics for bottom!jared.  It’s called Grave, and it’s a fucking pandemic fic written in 2015.  !!!!!

what the actual fuck?  I just happened to find it now!

The premise is that in the middle of a pandemic, Jared wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings, obviously being held captive.  Just when he’s about to crack completely, they shove another captive in with him---Jensen.

IT’s really good--I flew through the first part and now I’m forcing myself to go to bed instead of staying up all night reading the rest.

My favorite fic in the world updated today, and it’s the last chapter.  I read it as soon as I could and I’ve been thinking about it all day.  I love this fic a stupid amount, like.  It’s gonna take me 17 hours at least to comment on the last chapter.  I’m sad it’s over but I loved all of it, including the ending, which felt right.  500k wds and I could read more.    I’ve read it more than once, I’ll read it again.

Slow Road to Ruin by @oddsocksandstuff   Master/pet situation, Sam is an obedient pet for Castiel, thrown into turmoil when Cas brings home a new companion  (Dean).

I just finished it today and I was so damn floored.  Sam girls, tread carefully--it’s Sam POV and mostly a very rough ride.  If you’ve read 50 by hellhoundsprey, think tough like those certain chapters.  It’s worth the pain I promise--it’s SO, SO good.  The kind where you just stare into space for a while, and then you jump back to different paragraphs.  Ugh I don’t want to give a single spoiler.  Read the tags!

Weechesters coming of age, all twisted up together.  The boys’ characterization is so LAYERED.  She addresses so many facets of them from the show, giving really thoughtful and compelling possible motivations for their choices, the way their fucked up, insular lives could have lead to incest between them, and the costs and rewards that might come with crossing that line, which are different for each of them.  This is not ‘because they’re soul mates’ full stop.  This is gut wrenching, boys reaching for the one good thing they had and making promises before they could possibly comprehend what they were signing up for...and neither boy is any kind of perfect.  

This isn’t exactly faithful to canon?  More like a very parallel universe--they’re still hunters, Dean still gets sent to Sonny’s home for boys, etc.  And it’s slow burn and angsty as fuck, but the BOYS, they’re SO canon Dean and canon Sam, I can hardly stand it sometimes.  In Dean’s head, you get the vulnerability behind the cocksure attitude, how he ends up caught between his father and Sam, what it does to him to hunt at an early age, to be live bait, to be a boy that fucking pretty.  But he’s still a teenage badass monster killer.  Sam is maybe more confident than the show makes him? (though you could easily see *this* Sam being the one we meet in the pilot, who had a group of close friends AND a committed relationship.)   But she makes a good case for him wanting OUT, and it’s not just about wanting an apple pie life.

 And ok it doesn’t hurt that it has a ton of corporal punishment/spanking scenes.  ;)

Fic Rec (Short Series)

Combing through the possessive!dean tag and found an amazing author, and possibly the hottest possessive!dean I’ve ever read...which is really saying something.  It’s not even a long fic, three one shots that make up a series.  It’s not whump, it’s not even dark!fic (though Dean’s probably too possessive to be healthy.)  BUT SO WELL WRITTEN!!!

The series is called Master of Reality by Theboys.  It’s college Sam meets mysterious badboy Dean (unrelated au.)    Dean is like this beautiful filthy dominant and Sam is a gorgeous but shy undiscovered slut?  Yeah.

Now I have to comb through this author’s work, looking for more gold--something I rarely do.  I just had to stop and rec this right away.
