man i have been listening to video killed the radio star a LOT. almost entirely for dean reasons. not in a shipping way i don't think you could do that in a shipping way but the thing about dean is that he's my special imageboy. both on a watsonian level as a character and on a doylist level as a cultural artifact i've been thinking about dean as being this empty image, a kind of floating signifier, a picture of an imagined past that never really was. this post on my mind. and that's kind of fundamental to how on a watsonian level dean is not really a person he is a miserable little pile of masks, take them off and there's just a hole in the world he has no stable ground to stand on. it all comes back to my bloody valentine doesn't it he doesn't even WANT anything he's hollowed out.
