So I fucked up my textbook purchase and it was expensive, so I was a bit frantic and worried that I wouldn’t be able to get a refund. The lady on the other side was so sweet and patient and honestly it made me want to cry.

Kindness, especially unexpected and during the midst of unhappy moments in your life, is so so powerful.

To loop it back to books, I have no doubt in my mind that Elain’s kindness and light kept the Archeron household mentally afloat. I was worried sick for about thirty minutes; I can’t imagine years on end of shivering, darkness, and starvation in a father-less/mother-less household. Thank you Elain for keeping your beautiful Archeron sisters alive.

Just realized

Azriel and Elain remind me so much of Hades and Persephone. Hades and Azriel both have this cold and terrifying front but they’re really just good hearted people who were wronged before and are trying to get by. I don’t think I have to explain Elain and Persephone, the two are basically innocence personified unless someone goes against the people they love. No wonder I was so into shipping Azriel and Elain, they’re so similar to one of my favourite couples.

i don't know how to feel about sjm's choice of making Mor gay. now, before tumblr decides to reign hell on me, i'd like to clarify that i'm no homophobe and support Mor for who she is. However, as a Moriel shipper, i was devastated when it hit me that Moriel will never happen. Now that Az can't get with Mor, and i'm aware of AzrielxElain shippers (he lenT HER TRUTH-TELLER DAMN AND SHE USED IT TO KILL HYBERN), do you think it'll be endgame? Or Elucien? Thoughts anyone?

Beautiful in the sort of way that did not invite closeness. Untouchable. Followed everywhere by living darkness and a reputation that made people lower their voices when he entered a room.

Then one morning, he stops outside a flower shop.

And meets a female who smells like jasmine and honey, wears a delicate gold necklace with the letter E resting against her throat, and looks at his shadows without fear.
