questions for the mun, regarding the muse.
10. What do you love about your muse?
His SASS. God I love his sass. Characters with no chill are my favorite ever, and he definitely fits that!
11. What do you hate about your muse?
He can be quite inflexible and set in his own ways? He gives Shu officers a lot of heat for being tenacious, and it strikes me as pretty hypocritical tbh. He just thinks he’s always right and ugh >:C
17. Why do you think you connect to your muse?
We’re opposites, really, aside from the black hair and the creepishly dead-looking skin tones we both have. But I think what first drew me to Jia Chong is that we are such complete opposites? He is so unlike me that I can’t help but be fascinated and try to understand his thought process. He’s like a puzzle to me.
18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?
THIS TURNED OUT TO BE PRETTY LONG SORRY-
To me, the one aspect of Jia Chong’s personality that I always keep in mind, always try to delve into when writing him, and annoys me when people overlook it is that he knows he’s bad, he knows he’s a terrible influence. But when he sees something or someone that is truly pure and light, he tries to protect that thing or person from his own wickedness. He knows what he is and he tries to save those who he wants to protect away from it. He has so much more depth than just the “edgy” character, and koei only scratched the surface of it with a few lines here and there. That’s the most important aspect to me.
To him, the most important aspect of his personality is probably his uncanny ability to stay one step ahead of everyone else and get away with all the shit he does. He is masterful at reading and manipulating others to get what he wants, and he is very patient with the whole thing. He has an agenda, and while he’s not one who can inspire others by his good will or one who has good, likeable leadership qualities, it’s what he has to offer. And he utilizes that.
Obviously not the same, but they are different because I am a sucker for reading in between the lines. I love the poetry and art found in things and people. Meanwhile, he is a practical person, so what is useful to him is most important. He has no need for poetic ironies like I do (it feeds my soul tbh).
