My tiktok is full of elriel stuff for some reason and I see how convinced they are that “three brothers, three sisters” is happening. Its like they didn’t read acosf and the second half of Azriels bonus chapter doesn’t exist (or they say its not relevant).

It kind of makes me sad cause I know so many are going to be angry and lash out at SJM when the next acotar book comes out. Or they’ll drop the fandom all together.

All of the mentions of Gwyn eyeing Azriel in ACOSF could be due to him being present during her traumatic event, but it does make me wonder if the bond snapped for her when he saved her.

She may not have wanted a male mate and/or a mate in general after the trauma. (Or thinks she doesn’t deserve one🥺)

When he arrived at training unannounced she may have been nervous and/or felt the mate pull toward him.

Over time at training maybe she felt comfortable/safe with him. (Especially since she asked for private lessons)

Gwyn is comfortable with Az. She was alone talking to him on Solstice night, when there was no one in the Windhouse; she seeks his gaze to be sure of what she says when Nesta and Cassiam return from the mountain; she asked for and has private lessons with him, alone; she is unfazed by his proximity or being touched by him, this is shown in the Qualifier Blood Rite scene.

Azriel still didn't consider Gwyn a friend at the time of Solstice and yet she made all the temptation, rage and frustration he felt disappear in minutes.
