Morning. Benjamin yawned and carefully swung his legs over the edge of the bed. He peeked behind him at his overnight guest and smiled softly to himself. Next to his feet, he picked up his trousers that were carelessly tossed aside the night before. Did all that really happen? The memories were present but details were vague. Why did he decide to drink that much? Still, there was little regret even though he was unsure where this left things between the two of them.
The bedroom door opened slowly and quietly as to not wake anyone up. Immediately, Ben started opening up the cabinets to grab everything that he needed for the morning. Some coffee grounds, cereal carton, and a loaf of bread. It would probably have been easier to wave his wand and have it all start cooking itself, but coming from a muggle family, he was used to doing it without any magic. He poured the coffee grounds into the coffee maker and the sweet aroma quickly filled up the space. The Daily Prophet sat on the counter with the headline flashing boldly. ...Restrict Communication Outside Wizarding World. Ben glanced at it for a quick second before deciding that it was too early for breaking news. As much as he would like to pretend that the outside world didn’t exist outside of his home’s four walls, he preferred at least having breakfast first.
Benjamin poured himself a cup of coffee and took a small sip. He grabbed two slices of bread and popped them into the toaster before pouring out the cereal into a bowl. He lazily leaned up against the counter and was about to take another sip of his coffee when the pop of the toaster caused him to jump. The hot coffee splashed onto his hand which resulted in him dropping the mug and having it shatter onto the floor. “Shit.” He automatically exclaimed to himself as he quickly began to search for a broom and dustpan.
