I miss these girls; B(if)tek
So glad I found this clip of B(if)tek with Julee Cruise. The clip was shot in New York around 1999/2000, and once Sony removed it from their site I thought it might never be seen again. It's time to get Wired For Sound and not Sir Cliff's version.
For those who haven't heard of them, B(if)tek was an Australian electronic music duo comprising Kate Crawford and Nicole Skeltys, who released three albums between 1998 and 2003 - Sub-Vocal Theme Park (1996), 2020 (2000), Frequencies Will Move Together (2003).
The name "B(if)tek" comes from French "le biftek", which is borrowed from the English "beefsteak", while the English "beef" is originally from the French "le bœuf". Confused? Don't worry, just listen to the music.
