Hey, it's Betty. I had something that I really wanted to tell you and I felt most comfortable doing it through a note. I know I could have called, texted, even told you in person. I know there is a bunch of ways I could have done this but, I decided to do it through a note.
I know we have been friends for a long time. Actually, we have been friends since we were little kids. I love that we have been friends for so long and that we have stayed so close but, I guess that also makes this kind of harder for me to do.
I just don't want to ruin our friendship. I am just scared that the thing I want to tell you will ruin everything between us and I really don't want that to happen. I would be so sad and feel so guilty if it ruined everything.
Anyways, I should just get to the point. Alright, here goes nothing...
I like you Y/N. I like you a lot. I have had a crush on you for the longest time now and I was always just too scared to confess my feelings to you because I was kind of scared of getting rejected but I was even more scared about losing you completely.
Because I would never ever want to lose you as a friend. Even if you didn't feel the same way about me I would still want to be your best friend even though it may be awkward for awhile after my confession.

Veronica didn't know what to think when it came to Betty right now. She knew there was a lot going on right now for her; Jughead and the serpents, The Black Hood, her mother. Still what she had said had hurt. It was every worst fear Veronica had being thrown in her face by her best friend at the moment she needed her support the most. She needed Betty to believe in her, but in the end she believed and wanted to change enough that it had almost been enough. Almost being that Nick had still been forgiven for what he had pulled on her. It was her fault Cheryl had been in that position and it had felt good to beat the crap out of Nick.
Now they were alone in The Blue and Gold and Veronica didn't know what to say. She knew something had to be going on with Betty because she wouldn't have acted like that otherwise, not when she turned around and supported her about Cheryl, but she was still mad. "You're my best friend Betty. The best one I've ever had, but what you said about me. That hurt. If you really don't want to be my friend anymore, just tell me. But I'm not the same girl I was in New York." Parts of her still remained and it was tempting to fall back into it, but after seeing Nick in action, she would never be the Old Veronica again.
Veronica had always had a long list of friends but none of them had she ever felt a connection with like she had Betty. It felt like she had been destined to meet her and she was determined to do anything for her, even if sometimes her bitchier instincts got in the way. Veronica made her way toward the blonde and grabbed her hands. “Of course it’s okay, Betty. You’re welcome here anytime. It’ll be like a sleepover.”
Veronica had ever only really felt something once before and she didn’t count her feelings for Archie. With Betty she had known from the moment she had met her that there was something pulling them to each other. She didn’t know that it was love, not until she had spent more time with her. “Yeah like a relationship.” She had never felt more vulnerable than in this moment. “It’s okay if you don’t feel that way Betty. I’d rather just be your friend than be nothing to you. I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t.”
