Dealing With Regrets(Closed Rp)

Thomas could remember a quote he read in a book once, it said that “the mightiest power of death is not that it can make people die, but that it can make the people you left behind want to stop living.” What was significant about this quote was how it pertained to someone he knows and maybe a little bit towards himself.
They had finally defeated IT...but with a price.
His childhood best friend and secret childhood crush Stan Uris had died...killed himself before he could see him again. So he was filled with regret for not staying in touch with him and coming to terms with his feelings.
Then in the end battle, Eddie had gotten killed by that fucking clown....that clown took so much from them...they had to leave Eddie’s body and it was a struggle trying to pull Richie off of Eddie as the whole house and underground were collapsing. Thomas didn’t want to lose anyone else, the pain was already to unbearable.
It took him, Mike and Ben to pull him away and to stop him from going back inside watching the home getting swallowed up into the ground, with Eddie’s body in it.
Now everyone had gone their separate ways again...Ben was finally with Beverly, Bill was back home and Mike had finally got out of Derry, but there was still Richie...Thomas couldn’t leave him...not now when everything that had happened.
So he told Richie he was going to tag along with him for a while and planned to do so until he was indefinite sure Richie wouldn’t do anything to himself.
Back to where his place was and job...he has probably been fired anyway. So he would just try to look someplace else to live for a job at this point.
Though it made him happy he wouldn’t have to be dealing with Lee, his co-worker in the police station. Thomas was in a secret friend with benefits type thing, but that weren’t really friends. Lee took all the credit from Thomas’s investigations and was emotionally, sometimes physically abusive.
So now Thomas was walking in behind Richie into his home looking around, curious to see how he was living, carrying his bag over his shoulder, his other hand wrapped up in bandages from the run-in with Pennywise.
