Question for watchers

So far I've been keeping the posts here to  finished fanworks involving the B5 OCs. However, there's a lot of discussion and such that goes on too. Do you want me to archive that as well?

Also, is there a problem with the submit feature? I know at the beginning there was an issue but is it still there?

Haha, I found the first post where Aela Cantori, my B5 OC was conceived of in my livejournal. This was back when I had no one to talk to about B5 and I was ashamed to have even considered writing a Mary Sue. I had forgotten that I wanted them all to go drinking together. Maybe I should write a scene where Vir visits Centauri Prime and Londo introduces them? Or maybe a prequel where Aela was passing through B5 on her way to Centauri Prime and unwittingly got shitfaced with her future emperors?

Not sure anyone on my f-list still reads this, but I need a fandomy place to rant. Just making my way through Babylon 5, and it has given me the most incredible urge to write some ridiculous Mary Sue self-insert. Which is weird because usually even the idea is anathema to me. I don't even get to what kind of character I would be before I get embarassed and stop. But...Londo Mollari. And Vir Cotto. I can't decide which one I want to write a Mary Sue romance with more. Which is weird because they are objectively speaking the two least physically attractive characters in the show. But I'm completely obsessed with them and the fact they are Space Romans and totally awesome. So here's where I shamelessly whisper my secret into a hole in the hopes I will either have support or rid myself of it.What I would be in the Babylon 5 world? I've actually thought about it. I would love to be some sort of diplomatic attache from the humans to the Centauri, with a background in history and anthropology. Can you imagine living in the future, discovering an alien civilization that bears startling resemblance to human history, in particular the Roman civilization? If you overlook the writerly conceit it would be shocking and mindblowing. Of necessity of course they can't draw too much attention to the similarities in the TV show, but I want my self-insert to sit down with the Centauri and show them Seutonius, Virgil, Ovid, and Gibbons "Fall of the Roman Empire". And then, because I am shamelessly attracted to the characters, we would all get drinks and sexy tiems would ensue (lol).I dunno, its a silly fantasy, no doubt linked to the fangirl desire to be "understood" by the character they're crushing on. But I can't help but think that to the Centauri the similarities would be quite shocking and intrigueing. Argh, after all these years I can't believe I can't stop thinking about this. Do I just need to go ahead and write it to get it out of my system?
