I have been diagnosed with Vitamin B6 toxicity, and this past year has been the most painful experience of my life. I became toxic just taking my multivitamin every day, which contained 4mg of B6.
Please check your supplements and any fortified foods you are consuming to ensure they do not contain B6. You can easily obtain B6 though food and do not need to supplement with it.
Please share to increase awareness as all of my doctors were completely baffled about my symptoms until my naturopath doctor ordered a blood test, which showed my levels at 2.5x above the upper limit. I refuse to let anyone suffer as I have this past year. I thought I was dying.
B6 toxicity is on the rise as it is added to countless products. If you have a lot of mysterious symptoms and doctors cannot find out what is wrong with you, please do yourself a favor and request a simple B6 blood test to at least rule it out. More likely than not, you level is probably too high in your blood causing full-body nerve damage.
