It's me, but now I'm a bonkle.

I took that quiz that would show what element you'd be as a Matoran, and I got gravity. While it's not their actual personality, the answer said that Ba-Matoran are more serious and philosophical, looking more at the bigger picture than the past like Onu-Matoran, the present like Po-Matoran, or the future like Ko-Matoran. Existential, absurdist, nihilistic, spiritual shit. And it weighs on them sometimes. Which felt so right for me, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If I were a Bionicle, I'd be a Ba-Matoran, with a kanohi Akaku for a mask.

Ba-Wari Observatory

During the nighttime, rural Ba-Wari is completely dark, surrounded by black mountains and with no light to be spoken of. The whole purpose is for an excellent view of the stars and galaxy that surround it so Ba-Matoran astronomers could study and discover.

Dark, cirque valleys like the middle of the Obsidian Mountains are ideal for Ba-Matoran because of the correct amount of pressure from the altitude of said mountains (they also happen to be ideal for wild Cloud Sheep). Despite the name, the Obsidian Mountains are not made of said substance, rather they are named for their blackness.

(also idk why I thought of Ba-Matoran as astronomers, I associated Gravity with space because gravity is sometimes used as a celestial subject and may or may not also be the title of a space movie so yeah)

Cloud Sheep

These Sheep-like Rahi are named for their uncanny resemblance to clouds. They are the Spirit Rahi of Ba-Wari (the Gravity Region of Zakara) due to their bleating call that sounds like they are saying the Matoran prefix “Ba-”. It is in fact thanks to these Sheep that Ba-Matoran have found a proper place to settle and colonize, which is another factor of giving them the honor of being a Spirit Rahi.

Sexual dimorphism in Cloud Sheep include the Rams (males) having large, powerful horns made of a strong metal that is powerful enough to crack or dent rocks, while the Ewes (females) lack said horns. Even their behavior is distinguishable, like Rams being more aggressive than Ewes.

Cloud Sheep can either be native to the wild (often seen residing on cliffs of mountains in the Gravity Region) or domesticated in Po- and Le-Matoran farms where their distinctive wool is sheared to be used in materials for items like bags or coats. A fully sheared sheep is seen in Image 6 (don’t worry their wool grows back).

Cloud Sheep are one of few kinds of Rahi that vary in color.

Conservation Status: Least Concern (wild) or Domesticated
