The Sunken Hum Broadcast 39 - Babbling Water, the Hiss and the Chiming Hedge - 8 February 2013 Last night there was silence and darkness outside my front door. I went down to the end of the driveway to record the litte stream that runs beneath the road with the quiet around it. The goat came along and munched on growth by the mailbox making the windchimes there clink about. This sound freaked me right out at first as she was behind me and I didn't know what was making the clatter in the darkness. Willie was with me and when I frightenedly asked "What's that noise?", he said, "Esme (the goat) is playing a gig." Hee hee. When I listened back I found the limitations of my Zoom recorder as there's quite a hiss in the background from the mics. Hmmm. Might be time to go shopping for something new. This is the 39th Broadcast of The Sunken Hum, my daily sound diary.
