Been talking and thinking about fanfics and such recently, and I thought I would talk about a fanfic I've really enjoyed in the form of a game, being JPDE - Sonata of Fire.
As I said, it's a fanmade visual novel created by Meinos Kaen and the rest of Team J.P.D.E. It is a RWBY fangame, but I've seen people share their playthroughs who have no clue what RWBY is, and they've still enjoyed it fully, so knowing the series or not, you're in for a good time.
The full game has been finished and is actually having a full remake being developed right now, with a demo out, and it's been amazing seeing how experience writing has changed the scenes of the original while not changing the story.
If you're into horror like me, the team behind the game is also developing Babelomania, which is a horror visual novel, originally made for a game jam and now being made into a complete game.
If any of this piques your interest, you can check out the team's itch.io page.
They've also got a discord server, and if I'm being honest, it's one of the friendliest communities for a game series I know of. Everyone has always been nothing but great to me, and I've been able to actually become really comfortable just being myself there.
So with that said, once again, if you're interested in things like RWBY, horror, or just visual novels and fantastic writing, I urge you to check out Team JPDE's works. It really is just amazing what they've made, and I can't sing their praises enough.
