VENUS: Love and War
“Hephaistio of Thebes writes that the Star of Aphrodite is the warrior goddess when she rises before the Sun (as the Morning Star) and she is the goddess of love when she rises after the Sun, thus being the Evening Star. He says that this belief comes from Sumerians, referring to Inanna as the Goddess of Love and War.”
