You were the new Queen of Mirkwood, and had already met Thranduils' son. They were mirror images of each other, but Legolas was smaller, slimmer and more youthful than your husband Thranduil. Not that you loved him any less for it.
Although younger than your new step-son, you felt a responsibility to give the love you noticed Thranduil had trouble giving to the other blond. You'd already had a talking to, to Thranduil about it.
Sitting between the two stubborn blonds was making you frustrated. They were talking about training and you noted they hadn't eaten very much of the food on their plates. Rolling your eyes you dish up some greens and place them on Thranduils' plate. With a pointed look you turn to Legolas.
