Usually, Kurt wouldn't trust Blaine with a simple lit candle, let alone a bottle of lighter fluid and a butane lighter, but Blaine wanted to share a bonfire with his brand new fiancee and Kurt couldn't complain. He'd gone to so much trouble to set up a lovely tent out in the woods with a large cooler full of delicious snacks and wine coolers that would certainly lead to a wonderful evening...if Blaine could ever get the fire lit.
"Are you sure you don't need any help, dear?"
"I've got it! I've got it, Kurt!" Blaine forced a laugh and waved over his shoulder as he once again tried to light the large pile of brush he'd gotten together. Kurt was doing his best to hide his smug smile as he watched the love of his life light and re-light the lighter over and over again.
"I can hear you snickering back there- It's not helping!" He huffed and the lighter went out, and Kurt could stand it any longer. He let out a very loud giggle. Blaine dropped the lighter and turned, his lips set in a large pout.
"I'm sorry- I'm sorry, c-come here, come here," Kurt waved him over and Blaine did as he was told. He curled up next to Kurt in the large sleeping bag he'd been waiting patiently in. "Now, look." He laid back and pulled Blaine down beside him, as he waved toward the sky. "We don't need a fire when we have the brilliant lights of the stars above us- There's even a full moon." His smile was warm as he met Blaine's eyes. His smile matched Kurt's.
"I love you," he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on Kurt's nose.
"I love you more...even though if there were some sort of Apocalypse, we'd never eat warm food again-"
"That's it-!" Blaine tried to get up, but Kurt pulled him into his arms with a laugh that was soon quieted with Blaine's lips against his own.
