These adorable baby rattle cake pops are a great way to celebrate the impending arrival of a little one. Not only are these delicious candies ideal for a baby shower, but they also make adorable edible decorations.
Ingredients: 1 box of cake mix flavor of your choice. 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened. 3 large eggs. 1 cup of milk. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 2 cups of confectioners' sugar. 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted. 2 tablespoons of milk. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Assorted food coloring. Cake pop sticks. Decorative baby rattle-themed toppings e.g., colored icing, sprinkles.
Instructions: Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pop mold. Bake according to the cake mix instructions for cake pops. Let them cool completely. In a separate bowl, make the icing by whisking together confectioners' sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Divide the icing into smaller bowls and tint each with different food coloring to create a variety of rattle colors. Dip the cake pop sticks into the icing and insert them into the cake pops. Dip each cake pop into the colored icing, allowing excess to drip off, and place them on a parchment-lined tray. Decorate the cake pops with baby rattle-themed toppings while the icing is still wet. Allow the cake pops to set completely before serving at the baby shower.
