Hello! There are a lot of dresses with shirred back panels, and then a row of lace on both sides where a long ribbon is threaded to tighten the dress. However, since the lace is so delicate, it is easily stretched/warped. Do you have any ways of preventing this? Thanks for your time!
Just be careful when tying the ribbons that you don’t pull too hard. It isn’t a corset so you don’t have to pull it tight, you’re just supposed to pull it enough that it fits you comfortably. If you’re really worried about stretching the lace, have someone else do it for you so they see what they’re doing and can adjust the lacing as needed.
