Next month I’m doing a workshop at @theyogaquarter, it’s called “Total Spine Backward Bending.” The name is kind of self-explanatory, but for more information please have a look at the link in my bio. It’s on 17 February. - This post is catch-up for #AYearOfYoga2019. If I was a pony, this would probably be my one trick. I do need to do a little bit to warm up (like a couple of wheels), but it’s something I can pull out fairly reliably. That, of course, wasn’t always the case, and I’m sure it won’t be forever. - To work on the scorpion part, try to touch your feet to your head in cobra pose, and in principle then this kind of handstand is easier to balance than a straight one. - And that’s what the video is about, trying to go from straight handstand to scorpion and back to a straight handstand. As you can see the struggle is real - the final shape isn’t a great straight handstand, getting back from a backbend to a more hollow body position that feels set is something I find challenging at the moment. - #handstandscorpion #scorpionpose #backbendupsidedown #handstand https://www.instagram.com/p/BtCSlGzjUDk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=n32aj6kqe72c
