There were certainly moments that Ella could have that thousand yard stare, usually thinking over things or planning – something along those lines. In this moment, it was all the possibilities – including calculating if there could be any type of retaliation – or had they safe guarded enough against that? Even then, she still had a part of her attention to the current room, at least paying enough attention to if someone approached.
Slowly, her eyes drifted towards James, a brow slightly raised as she set her glass down on the bar. “Do I need to feel better?” she countered, being equally evasive. The brunette didn’t trust easily, that much was certain. Giving a shrug, “Some men enjoy to take advantage, not that this could happen with me,” she left it there. The implication was clear enough, her bodyguards would never permit that to happen, especially Trevor, her right hand man.
A vague hint of a smirk formed on her lips, giving a small shake to her head, “There is nothing to talk about. There was a problem, but it has been handled,” she offered as if it was as simple as someone ordered the wrong office supplies. “It was much work and stress so everyone needed a little of break.” If one paid close enough attention, they could tell the difference between the girls as now and then, Ella made small mistakes in English that Alyssa almost never made.
