January 17th, 2001 - January 17th, 2020: 19 years ago Jason Newsted left Metallica as bass player. 😞 . . My favourite person all over the world: Today but 19 years ago, you made a hard decision for your own good, you quit Metallica after 15 years of fastastic concerts, travels, recordings and adventures. Years in which I consider Metallica as in their best times, because you were with them. When I saw you playing for the first time in a musical video, I immediately felt in love with your talent, wildness, energy and charisma, and I also love your appearance and sweet and humble personality. Since that day you became my idol and inspiration for playing bass and for listening to Metallica. Today I am a big fan because of you mostly and thank you for that. ❤ I understand that your underwent through hard times during your first years in the band until gain the love of the people and being appreciated, but for me, you are the best bassist, musician and songwriter. My total hero. And I will always consider you as the best in all that you do. Today still in music and in painting. I love you so much. I have never felt something that big for any musician before; and I respect a lot your decision of leave and to start a new life making your own music and arts with your lovely wife.
