The origin of the backrooms
The first (locatable) mention of the backrooms was in a 4-chan thread made in 2019, this thread was about ‘images that just feel off’ (supposedly referring to liminal spaces) in the thread was a description of what is now level zero but is referred to as just the backrooms in the original post (I'm going to share the full original description now)
‘If your not careful and you no-clip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the backrooms, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in,
God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby. Because it sure as hell heard you’
(this image is thought to be with the original post but it is unconfirmed)
This is the full description attached to the 4-chan post, which includes the infamous image associated with the backrooms, this single description has sprouted games, stories, movies and a whole fandom who love what’s come from this one thing
(side note: there's a mention that the original idea for the backrooms was first created all the way back in 2009, sadly i can find no proof of the backrooms existing back then)
Level 98! The uh Downtown dinner!
[Data is outdated I'll update the page once they write the level chat]
I'm back until I lose motivation :>
Level 98 is a small repeating section path straight building line brick road! So if you stand in da middle you can see copies of yourself! [It's cool ngl...]
Buildings of this level are almost never open, the diner is located in the middle illuminated by its lights! Plus what appears to be the moon! [Reminds me of stargazing with Mia...]
I wonder if I can throw Sammy into the backrooms??

Start and introduction
Hello! I'm Cassidy It's a pleasure to have you on my blog! Where I explain every backrooms level and how to survive and exit each level!
I've also brought two people who've been in the backrooms before! Which are Tiffany and SM.R!

The backrooms:
The backrooms is where you end up if you ‘no-clip out of reality’ (reality being referred to as the frontrooms) when you first arrive in the backrooms you will end up in level zero. Level zero (named the lobby) is an office with mono yellow walls, damp carpets, and the ever maddening hum of the fluorescent lights above, although level zero is not the only level of the backrooms, there are nine (cannon) levels of the backrooms, (levels zero to eight)
Survival difficulty guide
(The wiki already has all the information on this but the point of this blog is to have as much info on the backrooms as possible so here you go!)
The survival difficulty guide or the SDG is the official ranking system of the backrooms. This list goes from least difficult to most difficult levels to survive in
Survival difficulty: class zero
Class zero is meant for levels that have no threats whatsoever, levels with this ranking are very easy to traverse with no actual danger present
Survival difficulty: class one
Class one levels are mostly safe, there are very few threats at this class. Reasons for levels to be put into class one would be due either to a low count of entities or the landscape of the level, levels with this class are mostly easy to traverse
Survival difficulty: class two
Levels ranked as class two are where the levels start to get difficult their could be environmental hazards or entities, you need to be prepared with supplies, wanderers should have a pretty hard time exploring this level
Survival difficulty: class three
Levels ranked at class three start being genuinely dangerous to travel through, ‘unsecure’ is a word used to describe these levels with this ranking these levels being called unsecure refers to the fact they aren't particularly well mapped out, they also have many entities and hazards in them
Security difficulty: class four
Class four levels are seriously dangerous levels to be in, it's highly recommended to avoid any levels classed as four or higher should not be explored, if it’s necessary to explore these levels carrying weaponry and the right supplies are required to survive
Security difficulty: class five
Class five levels should be avoided at all costs, these levels house extreme threats to any who decide to explore them, it’s expected wanderers would survive here without the proper equipment class five is the last of the standard SD.
Security class: class undetermined
This class is given to levels that have very little known about them, it is recommended to take caution in these levels as there may be unknown threats or hazards, most recommend to avoid them altogether. You never know what you could possibly run into
Security class: variable
Levels with this class have varying levels of danger inside, therefore they can’t be classed in any particular category so it’s classed as ‘variable’ except anything could happen in these levels.
Security class: habitable
Habitable levels are considerably safe and stable. These levels lack environmental hazards and entity’s there is usually a steady source of resources on these levels, making them a perfect place to stay long-term.
Security class: dead zone
Levels classed with ‘dead zone’ are extremely dangerous and should never be attempted to explore. Death is almost imminent, unless you get lucky, there are many entity’s and hazards on dead zone levels AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Cass? Rusty's been worried about you, we should head out.
