To the anon talking about Magnus and Alec waiting to have sex: Cassie is writing their first time and has said it was in Paris, I can only think of it (timeline wise) as being from when they went on their world trip during book two, but I see Show!Malec waiting quite a bit longer

Their vacation was during book 4, actually. They went on vacation after what happened in Idris in book 3.

My reply was indeed confirming what you are saying though. Things were calmer for a little while after book 3 and at the beginning of book 4. So it makes sense for them to have their first time during their European vacation.

I have read the books but still found Jace going with Valentine predictable. I think that might just be since they bigged up Jace's "darker side" and his previous relationship with Valentine too much. I'm not sure though. I do think it's a great way to set up a new storyline but not an interesting way to end a season. Although, I do know people that loved it so at least it's still popular because I couldn't deal with this show being cancelled 😔

I agree with it being predictable, I found 90% of this episode to be predictable. I’ve still only seen it once so I think I mostly need another watch or three to actually get into it. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t hate this episode at all. It was a good episode and everything played out like it should have, but there wasn’t really that “wow” effect that I enjoy with season finales and their ending scenes. 

I’m excited to see what season 2 brings.

I really hope they don't make Malec public to the family yet, purely because there are so many great moments we would miss out on if they did. I want the fearless rune scene, the "you fell on your neck?" and the final great kiss in front of everyone in the glass city, among so many other things. I want the build up. I want Alec to be comfortable and in control. I just don't want it to be something he'd later regret.

As much as I would love to see those moments, and their secret relationship, I don’t think that’s where they’re going. Emeraude said in an interview a while back that Alec is open about who he loves by the end of the season. But I guess we’ll see how it goes today!
