we need to learn to live in our words. our mouth is a prophecy and your tongue a martyr dying for things not spoken. we give our nouns beautiful names hoping the sound will mask the odor of their lacerations – we dance to the music of mourning and lie face down in the night, dead awake with words dripping from wide sleeping lips.
