I accidentally saved a file over another, how can I get it back? (recover old saved version?)
If you have a newer version of FA, you should have backup saves in the program folder, just open one of those.

Sims 3. PC. All requirements. Recently, while playing a newly made sim (well actually building the house) the game crashed. I thought nothing of it but it continued to happen again about 2 more times. I would play other sims in the town & nothing would happen. Now, the file won't even load and it has other sims I made on it. Anyway to recover it?
How to restore a save file.
Give that a try. Do you have custom content by chance, that you were using when building this house? If you do, I wonder if you have bad CC. You can read more about bad custom content in our FAQ.
