Her head hurt, her throat hurt--mostly because screaming at her grandparents for the last half hour about how ridiculous their stance on blood status really was had worn it out--the thing she wasn’t going to admit though was that part of her that a less logical person would call her heart hurt too. She’d hoped that age would see her family wising up a little, if not about Johann and his choices, at least about hers. 

That was how she ended up in his doorway, knocking softly on the frame. “Thanks for dragging me under the train with you.” She said softly, no real malice behind the words.

It’s not a health thing. She’s always done this. THere is a reason I call her Cinnacunt even though her name is Cinnamon. She’s the devil. She’s also crazy. And I’d know, we’ve had cats since I was a baby we’ve never had one as evil as her. I wish we could get rid of her but nobody would take her.

Whilst I disapprove of Remender's apparent desire to make Red Skull an X-men villain, I actually really like the way Remender writes Johann. Like, aside from that panel, there's this, which I really like even if I'm not sure domination is the right word (domination isn't an emotion? I feel like it's more like the desire to dominate), that great moment where Johann makes Honest John get hit in the head with Cap's shield ("Now that time you should have asked why"), and also basically everything  to do with Zola and Skull's interactions.

Remender is consistently good at Skull. He might not get Sharon Carter, or Sam Wilson, or how to make an interesting OC, but he gets Skull. One could say that the fact that he understands Skull (a psychopathic mass murderer) better than anyone else reflects badly on him personally, but to be honest, I think it's just that Johann is a pretty simple character. Where Brubaker went wrong was that he wanted him to be more complex. Same for Mark Millar (okay, Mark Millar did a lot of other things wrong in that comic but that was the MAIN issue with his characterization of Skull).
