Grunhilde “Jet” Zola - Sharon Rooney

The last and youngest member of HYDRA’s inner circle is Jet Zola. The cybernetic result of decades of experimentation, Jet is a brilliant but awkward young woman. She looks up to Sin and wants to be cool and sexy like her, an ambition not diminished by her shy, nervous nature and total lack of social skills. 

 It’s easy for people to underestimate her, but that would be a deadly mistake. Jet’s mind works at twice the speed of anyone else, and her senses have been augmented to their peak. Although she appears human, underneath her skin she’s more machine than human.

Helmut Zemo - Daniel Brühl

Helmut Zemo’s grandfather was one of the founders of HYDRA, and Helmut was raised within the organization. When HYDRA revealed itself, Helmut’s father was killed fighting against SHIELD. Helmut blames Captain America personally for his father’s death, and has vowed to have vengeance on the Captain. 

Among HYDRA’s inner circle, Helmut is what passes for the ‘conscience’ of the group. Unlike his rival and leader Sinthea, Helmut has a sense of honor and considers certain crimes beneath his aristocratic dignity. But even Helmut doesn’t know what he’ll do if he’s asked to choose between his honor and his revenge.

Sinthea Schmidt - Holland Roden

The daughter of Johann Schmidt, Sinthea was born with the Super-Soldier Serum flowing through her veins. She was raised by one of HYDRA’s top agents, Susan Scarbo, to be HYDRA’s perfect messiah. Scarbo’s abusive brainwashing techniques scarred the girl for life. When her father vanished and HYDRA crumbled, she was smuggled to America, and worked behind the scenes as HYDRA’s secret weapon for decades, the Serum keeping her face youthful.

She was meant to come out of the shadows and take her place as the queen of the world when Project Insight succeeded. But Pierce’s failure left her scrambling to pick up the pieces of her father’s organization. Now, with the help of her shadowy inner circle, she’s out to make the world bleed.

Andrea von Strucker - AnnaLynne McCord Andreas von Strucker - Devon Sawa

The twin children of Baron von Strucker were the first subjects of the experimental process that later gave powers to the Maximoff twins. They can both fly and shoot energy beams - but only when they’re in contact with each other. Strucker thought of them as failed experiments, but Baron Zemo saw further potential in the twins and took them under his wing. Of all of the inner circle, their loyalty is the most fragile. They’re more interested in looking out for themselves and each other than they are in HYDRA’s dreams of world domination.
