Pizza Port Backyard Explorer IPA (Picked up at Trader Joe's). A 3 of 4. A solid West Coast IPA with citrus and tropical fruit. Quite enjoyable and refreshing as it's on the lighter side in the body, and a nice mix of tropical fruit, including some weirder and more complex stuff in the nose.
Our Hazelnut Shrub is nutting! Wow, had no idea the satchels looked so cute.
About year 5 in the yard from just a stick and only about 5′ tall. Deer love eating the shrub so it must be protected. Many of the leaves are chewed, so insects like it too! Fun small backyard native tree for observing and eating!
Looks like a few more weeks before the nuts are mature. Hope I can get a few before the critters discover it!
