So my night last night was f**ked again .. As per usual! Sammy & Lily were bedded down when my head hit the pillow with the cat gate in place to keep peace through the night. About 20 minutes after I fell asleep for the first time, Quinn jumped the gate( first time ever) and got into a screaming hissing growling match with Lily. Quinn loves Sammy and has been pissy about Sammy not spending his nights with her. I jumped out of bed and chased Quinn out and went back to bed.
About an hour later Sammy started to rattle the gate because Quinn was on the other side and Sammy wanted some girlfriend time. Got up and let Sammy out and went back to bed.
At 3 o’clock in the morning Lily was beating on the gate because Hobbes was peaking in and Lily loves Hobbes. So I got up and decided to just leave the gate open. BIG MISTAKE!
4 AM the fur is flying, cats are screaming and Izzy & Lily are tumbling in a ball! That literally levitated me out of bed! So I ejected Izzy and made sure Lily was unhurt. Abandoned the gate, closed and locked the door, locking is important because Hobbes can open doors, and headed back to bed.
An hour or so goes by and now Lily is beating on the door because Hobbes is trying to open it from the other side and it's locked so he can't open it but Lily loves Hobbes and wants him inside with her. Usually one of these events take place during the course of a night. Last night it never stopped!
I got up and made coffee. Teddy started mewing & moaning immediately because he’s a lapcat and I was sitting down with an obviously open lap while Trouble tried crawling over Teddy to get her share of attention. Every morning event!
I did see the sunrise 🌞🫣🥱😵💫
Think I will have a nap before lunch today!
