Face practice with the comics character i have the most conflicting feelings about.
I love immortals just randomly saying things about history. They probably have info that no one else does. Like Habit and his s/o are talking and he like says some off hand comment about some historical figure being into some weird shit and his s/o is just like “...what”

Right so this “Hand incident” thing. This goes way back to like 2015 in my notes cos it’s something I've always wanted to bring back into the story. In brief the concept is that Kaneda loses a hand and has it replaced in a very similar manner to Tetsuo’s arm. The circumstances are this basically, Kaneda has wound up being captured by some bad people. (In totallylegit’s canon this would probably be Tetsuo’s Aide but since my thing is manga canon he is dead as shit) They wanna get their hands on Kei because of her ability to be used as a medium. Naturally Kaneda knows where she is and they wanna get the info from him. Kaneda does his typical backchat, spitting in their faces when they grill him and probably trying to break free and punch one of them only to be subdued. This is where it gets bad, main bad dude grabs onto the hand Kaneda just tried to hit them with and puts it down on a table where they strap it down. He asks again if Kaneda will just tell them where Kei is, he says no. He takes out a crowbar and starts wailing on Kaneda’s hand over and over again as Kaneda is really starting to panic, but he still refuses to sell out. Bad dude pretty much breaks every bone in Kaneda’s hand but isn't done yet. Kaneda’s show of defiance is pissing him off so he has his dudes march Kaneda over to a hydraulic press and...yeah. Kaneda doesn't spill a single thing before he loses consciousness and is escorted off to be killed only for the cavalry to come in as he is being transported outside and get him out. (By the cavalry I mean Kai and Chiyoko who have pulled the old wear the bad guy uniform trick) By the time they get Kaneda back, they know what’s left of his hand isn't gonna be much use to him so...amputation. (ITS OKAY THO COS HE GETS A COOL TETSUO-LIKE METAL HAND COS OF A CERTAIN PSYCHIC)
