My Diabeetus Rant
So I had to switch endos recently, basically because mine was apathetic at some points, and extremely rude and unhelpful at others - especially regarding improving my A1C and wanting to get pregnant next year. One of my (many) issues with him was that he outright refused to give me information about the GCM I've been wanting to look into and get. His reasoning was that I "don't feel low at the right time" and therefore don't qualify. Wut? I didn't understand his response whatsoever, but he wouldn't clarify. Does anyone know what he might have meant? I feel low at weird times if at all - sometimes I'll be at 80 and feel like shit, sometimes I'll be at 28 (my lowest) and feel fine until all hell abruptly breaks loose, and everywhere in between. Highs are the same - sometimes I'm ready to throw up at 199 but damn near normal at 305. This is exactly why I'm looking into the CGM, hoping to combat these inconsistencies and ultimately have better control. Once again, the endo I just stopped seeing was a dick for many reasons, but his dismissive attitude was the last straw. The good news is that I'm already set up with a new one that has nothing but good reviews and is said to be very understanding and spends a lot of time with patients. So wish me luck - I really want to improve my A1C, expand my family, and overall just be much healthier and far less stressed.
T&B edited to what the bad end would have been. Worth watching for the surprise at the end.
