This is a review based on that terrible port of "Street Fighter Alpha 2", for Windows. (Which unfortunately, DID get re-released on GOG.)
Street Fighter Alpha 2 explodes on-screen with lightning-fast gameplay and amazing innova
The arcade version? It's great!
But the PC version? It's ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE; even making ALL official releases of 'Street Fighter: The Movie", as well as the PS1 port of "Street Fighter Alpha 2" look GOOD, in comparison!
I don't know why, but...last time I tried to load it on my PC? It didn't work so well. The controls were off, the game ran SLOW AS HECK, and the game wouldn't even recognize any USB game controller I had.
To Capcom; if you're reading this? I advise in due respect, that you're better off just re-releasing a legally commercial emulated release of the original version with some modification, and then release it on PC. Because that port? It's not very good!
Is Belize a bad port?
Blade & Soul tragic loss
Today the staff of Blade and Soul us removed all Subquests without importing new ones. Only informitive subquests remain. Thr removal has caused a good chunk of the storyline to be lost. Any non americans can you help us fight to stop this downright bastardization to doctor the ratios by NC soft us. Not much is known but it is known that NC soft us has a bad habbit of pandering to the PKers demand to remove PVE elements.
The world of terrible ports
The world of terrible ports
Breaking the long standing tradition of ignoring the PC for the main series, the latest dynasty warriors was released on steam recently. Known by many as a power fantasy simulator, this game supposedly takes place in the three kingdoms era of ancient china in an anime style – while nearly every main character and scenario is more or less based on real equivalents, i somewhat doubt that mages were…

It's a shame the stuttering is getting so bad in Spider-man: Web of Shadows, because swinging is incredibly fun. The accuracy in which I can swing and land on objects is constantly amazing to me; even the tiniest platform or the narrowest space, Spider-man navigates with ease and precision.
Combat is less so. There's nothing really wrong with it, but as demonstrated in the last video I posted of Web of Shadows, there's a lot of focus on what seem to be Sonic the Hedgehog homing attack chains. Nothing beats a high-speed swing through a group of thugs and kicking them half a city block, as demonstrated at around 2:52.
I get the impression part of the stuttering issue seems to be that Web of Shadows uses the "MASSIVE" advertising system to serve its ads. The stuttering gets worse the closer you get to Times Square, where the highest cluster of billboards are. Microsoft bought and eventually shut down MASSIVE, so all of their in-game advertising no longer works, leaving in its place absurd placeholder ads that nobody was probably supposed to see. It's not a stretch to assume that some of the stutter happens when the game tries to connect to the ad server and nothing happens. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to turn it off.
I could say more about Web of Shadows, but that would start turning in to a review - maybe later. Maybe not. For now, I'm wishing I had a console version of this now, or maybe of the new Amazing Spider-man game that just came out - it sounds pretty good.
